AirTrunk Secures $1.24 Billion Green Loan to Expand Tokyo Data Center
Japanese hyperscale data center operator AirTrunk has secured a landmark $1.24 billion green loan, marking the largest data center funding deal in Japan's history. The capital will fuel the expansion of its TOK1 campus in Tokyo, pushing total capacity beyond 300 megawatts to meet surging demand for cloud and AI infrastructure.
"Japan is one of the world's most important cloud and AI markets; we are committed to building the digital infrastructure that drives long-term growth," said AirTrunk CEO Robin Khuda. The TOK1 facility will add over 100MW of computing power imminently, catering to leading cloud service providers in an increasingly competitive landscape.
